Lakewood was incorporated as a city in 1996 and is named for the many beautiful lakes in the area. Lakewood is popular for it's close proximity to the I-5 corridor and for the major retail hub at Lakewood Center. There are a wide variety of neighborhoods and price ranges within Lakewood.
